The Roots - How I got Over/ Classic?

Ok, I'm feeling The Roots new Album/ How i got over. I keep listening to it to see if there are any flaws, but i can't find any. I may be biased because i am a long time Roots fan. Don't get me wrong their last couple of cds were ok and some not so ok, but this one takes it back to the the eairly Roots of the 90s "Distortion of Static" and "Proceed". Loving it!

  1. I like the CD also. Heavy Rotation.. Actually Mak and Laz put me on to The Roots back in the Distortion of Static days. I been a fan ever since. Some of their more recent albums have had to grow on me but this one was an instant banger in my eyes (ears). Thought provoking but raw lyrics also. I agree with Laz on trying to find flaws but i find none.

  2. Finally got a chnace to listen to the new Roots-How I got Over Album. All in all the album is good, very good. The only knock I have about it is TO Me it doesnt have that one track that stands out obvious on the album. The album is hot, lyrics, subject matter and all. I just couldnt find the stand out track. I know which single they put out but I fell it couldve been many of the other tracks. I give it 4 out 5, all in all still a good look for the Mighty Roots Crew.

  3. I been cranking The Roots album and it is a must cop if you like lyrics, substance and originality. This is album unlike the last few (which i liked as well) grabbed me from the onset. I have been trying to poke holes and find flaws but there are none worth mentioning unless you want to knit pick at the fact that there is no Malik B but he's been absent (for the most part) since Things Fall Apart.
